ITAD Reusable Yield (RY%) You Need to Know It!

by
Aaron Cramer

When it comes to responsible financial & environmental optimization of your used IT equipment, Reusable Yield (RY%) is THE major quantifiable driver and indicator to measure success.  It’s easy for ITAD companies to advertise how they lead the industry in “Circular IT” by “maximizing sustainability” (or something similar) to get top results for your company....and it’s in every ITAD brochure and sales pitch.

Even my grandmother could look like a star selling 3 or 4-year-old laptops.   The worldwide demand consistently exceeds supply!

But what about everything else? Ask your ITAD provider for the RY% on everything (yes, everything) they sent you, in say, October, 2021?  If there really is a drive for “Circular IT” and “Sustainability” to drive financial and environmental results for you, as advertised, the answer should be immediate.  If not, be wary of greenwashing and look beyond the promise of the shiny brochures.
