Carefully unpack your device, leaving labels intact. Store your box for the duration of your one year warranty period. This will make shipping your device easier if you need to return it for any reason.
Step 1: Check Your Package for Included Add-Ons
Check your device to ensure you received all necessary cables, chargers or other items necessary to power the device.
Compare your device against this list of commonly included items:
- Laptops – power adapter (unless otherwise indicated)
- Desktops – power cord
- Monitors – power cord and video cable (the type of video cable depends on the output type on the monitor)
- Mobile phones- charging cable
- Tablets – charging cable and USB power block.
If your device is missing an item, please contact our customer service department immediately at shop@sageSE.com or 844-4SAGESE (844-472-4373).
Step 2: Power Up Your Device
For Laptops and Desktops
Connect your system to a properly grounded power source and power up your device.
Activating Your Windows License on a New PC.
Once your Windows PC is turned on and connected to the internet, your Windows License will be activated automatically. You may be required to follow additional steps from Microsoft as part of the activation process. If you need support with your Windows Applications or Software visit Microsoft Support at https://support.microsoft.com/
Sage is a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, which means we follow strict requirements established by Microsoft to ensure customers receive a high quality, professional refurbished device installed with genuine Microsoft Windows software. Such devices are free of defects, malware and viruses that could negatively impact your privacy and security.
Activating Your Mac Operating System
If you purchased an Apple MacBook or iMac if a newer Mac OS is available for your device you will be prompted to install when you power on your device.
For Mobile Phones & Tablets
Your device has been reset to its original manufacturer settings and comes pre-loaded with the latest operating system (OS) available at the time of refurbishment. In case there is a more recent version available, you may be prompted to update your OS when you activate the device.
- Press and hold the power button until the logo appears and follow set up directions on the mobile device.
- Contact your cellular carrier to activate your data service.
